This morning, Group 2 visited the beach where they demonstrated road safety skills during the walk. The children showed curiosity about their environment, identifying flowers and commenting, ‘look, bluebells.’ Several children engaged in paired play, helping to develop their understanding of game rules, turn-taking, and matching skills. The group also demonstrated positive social interactions by celebrating each other’s successes.

Wednesday

A large group of children showed interest in water play. To promote inclusion and encourage their exploratory skills, the water tray was moved into the garden. This created a variety of engaging opportunities for the children to explore water using different materials, including balls.

This morning, there was a continued interest in our nature learning wall. In the art area, children explored a variety of painting and printing techniques, which led to discussions about the different tools and materials being used, and introduced early conversations about symmetry
