School Uniform

The positive ethos of  Fair Isle Primary School is reflected in the wearing of school colours. The uniform enhances the feeling of belonging to the school. Our uniform also increases our security as it makes any intruder to our buildings or grounds easier to identify.

We are proud of our school colours, and are sure that the wearing of them adds a sense of pride and of responsibility to the wearer. A wide variety of schoolwear with the Fair Isle logo is available from the Fife Schoolwear shop, 36 High Street, Kirkcaldy.

  • skirt / trousers, grey or black
  • polo shirt, white, red or black
  • school jersey, red or black
  • school tie
  • school fleece, red or black

Notes

  1. Jeans and denim jackets and/or T-shirts are not suitable during the school day.
  2. Shoes should be ‘sensible’. For reasons of safety they should have flat heels. It is also important for health and safety reasons that shoes worn outdoors must not be worn in the gymnasium. A student who wears “trainers” outdoors must have a pair of gym shoes for Physical Education. In order to keep our new school clean , pupils are asked to change their outdoor shoes before entering the classrooms.
  3. No student should be sent to school wearing clothes which are unacceptable in respect of hygiene and/or decay.
  4. Football strips are not allowed to be worn in school.
