Welcome to Fair Isle Primary School

Welcome to our new Fair Isle Primary School website.  You will find that some areas are still under construction, we are working on this at the moment.  Please check back regularly for new information.

Fair Isle Primary School caters for pupils from Primary 1 to 7 and has close links with Fair Isle Nursery which is situated adjacent to the school.

The building is spacious with a lot of natural light and ventilation. There is a Nurture room, Medical / First Aid rooms,  a separate gym and dining hall and the school has the capacity for 15 teaching classrooms.  The overall design allows for a very inclusive teaching and learning environment.

The building is at the heart of the local community in Templehall, Kirkcaldy.  Our Community Lounge, Parents’ Room and gym facilities are normally well used by a variety of groups during and beyond the school day and there is a daily breakfast club for pupils.   Our resident Family Worker supports pupils and families.

Fair Isle Primary is a Leader in Me,  lighthouse school.  This means that we help the pupils examine how their actions and behaviours affect others. There is an active Junior Lighthouse team who meet regularly. This session we have two groups of leaders within our P7 year group. Operations Leaders have responsibilities in relation to the day to day running of the school and supporting the SLT. Learning Leaders will demonstrate good learning and support other children and classes throughout the school with their learning within the curriculum.

There is also a Parent Council which meets regularly allowing parents and staff to work together.
