Accelerated Reader is a successful global tool that supports the development of children’s reading. Not only does it provide proven results to close the reading gap it fosters a love of reading and helps children build the skills they need to read independently and to read for pleasure. We are currently using this programme from P3 to P7 with some pupils joining it in P2 if their class teacher thinks it is appropriate.

With Accelerated Reader, a student reads a book, takes an online quiz, and gets immediate feedback. Students respond to regular feedback and are motivated to make progress with their reading skills.
