School Dates 2025-26
Nursery parents should also keep an eye on Seesaw for events as with our youngest learners we tend to be responsive and not all events are planned for the full year. Class School Trips will also be planned as possible and information will come out in good time.
September 2025
Thursday 11th – Harvest Day – no uniform required, your child can wear harvest colours (red, orange, brown, yellow, green). Please send a contribution of £1.50 if you can to help cover the cost of the day. All children will have opportunities to cook with the produce grown in our school garden. Please make sure any allergies info is up to date as they will be tasting.
Friday 12th – P1-7 Targets shared with parents
Friday 19th – Tempest Photographer in school to take individual and sibling photos. All children will be included unless you have stated ‘No’ to photos on their General Permissions or unless you opt them out by telling the school office. If you have a pre-Nursery child you would like included in a family photo, please bring them into school at 8.30. If you would like a different group shot taken (e.g. a cousin’s group) please contact the office to make an arrangement.
Week Beginning 22nd – Look out for a link coming home which will let you tell us which times suit you best on Parents Evening.
October 2025
 Thursday 9th – P1-7 Flu Vaccines – your child will only receive the inoculation if you have returned the NHS permission form.
 Friday 10th – Last Day of Term – School Uniform as usual please
 Monday 13th October – Friday 24th October – School and Nursery closed for October Holiday
Monday 27th – First Day of Term 2
Friday 31st – All children invited to come to school in a Halloween costume – no masks or weapons please! We will hold our usual Pumpkin Carving Competition – bring your Pumpkin to school at 9am. Please contribute £1.50 per child to the cost of the day if you can.
November 2025
Tuesday 4th – P1-7 Parents Evening 5-7pm
Friday 7th – P1-7 Targets shared with parents
Monday 10th – Learning Partnership Visit – each year we invite other headteachers and education officers into school to support our self-evaluation work. This year the focus will be upon our review of our Relationships and Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Policy and Practice. There will be opportunities for parents to come in and share their views. More information will follow but if you are interested, please save the date.
Friday 14th – School and Nursery closed to children for inservice day – our PSAs will be doing enhanced Child Protection Training, our Teachers will be working on the review of the Relationships and Behaviour Policy, approaches to feedback and tracking and the pedagogy of digital learning. Our EYOs will be working of self evaluation and development of universal strategies to support learners.
Week Beginning 17th – P1-7 Parents Evening 3.30-5.30pm day to be confirmed
Tuesday 25th – P1-4 parents invited into school to join in with some literacy and numeracy learning with their child
December 2025
 Monday 8th – 1.30-3pm – Christmas Fair – all parents and friends of the school welcome. This year we are developing Enterprise Skills rather than Performance Skills in our learning for the Christmas Event.
Friday 19th – Last Day of Term 2 – Party/Cinema Day – No need to wear uniform
Monday 22nd – Friday 2nd January – School and Nursery Closed for Christmas Holidays
January 2026

Tuesday 17th – Pancake Day – all children will have a pancake and hot drink at playtime. Please contribute £1.50 to the cost of the day if you can.
Tuesday 17th – P5-7 parents invited into school at 2pm – the class will be giving a display of learning
 Week Beginning 23rd  – P6/7 Residential Trip to Dalguise

Thursday 7th – School and Nursery closed to children for inservice day – our PSAs and Teachers will be working self-evaluation and School Improvement Planning. Our EYOs will be working on report writing and enhanced Child Protection Training.
June 2026
 Monday 1st  – School and Nursery closed for June Holiday
P7 Mountain Biking Day, Sports Day and P7 Transition Days are to be confirmed
July 2026
 Thursday 2nd – Summer Fair and End of Year Event 1.30-3pm – All welcome
