Monday 8^th – 1.30-3pm – Christmas Fair – all parents and friends of the school welcome. This year we are developing Enterprise Skills rather than Performance Skills in our learning for the Christmas Event.

Wednesday 17th – Whole School going to the Byre Theatre for pantomime – leaving just after 9am – more info will follow nearer the time.

Thursday 18th – Party/Cinema Day – No need to wear uniform

Friday 19^th – Last Day of Term 2 – Planetarium visit  – No need to wear uniform

Thursday 15^th – P1 Health Checks – you will receive information and a consent form from NHS nearer the time

Week Beginning 9^th  – Look out for a link coming home which will let you tell us which times suit you best on Parents Evening.

Tuesday 10^th – P5-7 parents invited into school at 2pm – the class will be giving a display of learning

Wednesday 11^th – School and Nursery closed to children for inservice day – our PSAs will be sharing good practice, our Teachers will be working approaches to feedback and tracking and the pedagogy of digital learning. Our EYOs will be working of self evaluation and development of universal strategies to support learners.

Tuesday 17^th – Pancake Day – P1-4 children will have a pancake and hot drink at playtime. Please contribute £1.50 to the cost of the day if you can.

Tuesday 17^th – P5-7 children attending the Wee Big Sing at County Buildings all day – they won’t miss out on a pancake – we will make an arrangement nearer the time!

Thursday 7^th – School and Nursery closed to children for inservice day – our PSAs and Teachers will be working self-evaluation and School Improvement Planning. Our EYOs will be working on report writing and enhanced Child Protection Training.

Tuesday 2^nd  – Sports Day – spectators welcome in the afternoon

Tuesday 16^th -Thursday 18^th – P7 – S1 Madras Transition Days – children get school bus and follow their S1 timetable – Balmerino staff do not attend
