Author Visit

We are excited to be welcoming the author Alistair Chisholm to school on Wednesday. He will be reading ‘One Silly Sausage’ and doing a workshop with Nursery and P1 and 2 and he will be doing a workshop based on ‘Dragon Storm’ with P4-7. The P3s will be able to choose which session they take part in. If your child owns any Alistair Chisholm books, they are welcome to bring one in for him to sign.

We are very grateful to the Parent Council for funding and arranging this.

Polite Reminder

Please help to keep all our pupils safe through your driving choices. If you live within the village of Gauldry, please walk your child to school whenever possible. If you live further afield and are entitled to school transport – please make use of it whenever possible to reduce the number of cars at the gates. If you do need to drive to drop off and pick up your child, please be prepared to park at a distance from the school and walk the final section.

A few parents have asked us if we can keep the side gate unlocked now that the works are finished. We will do this because many parents feel it is safer for their child to come out of that gate onto the main road. But I do need to remind you that the hall committee ask the school NOT to use their grounds for parking so parents should not park in the hall car park.

If you and your child exit through the side gate, please remember that there may be cars moving in the car park and if your child walks or cycles to school on their own, please plan a safe route with them.
