What We’ve Been Learning This Term

P3/4 have worked incredibly hard this term, demonstrating fantastic levels of enthusiasm and determination!

In Numeracy, we have been developing our understanding of place value, helping us to recognise the value of digits in numbers. We have been practising number word sequences, estimating and rounding, and learning how to tell the time using analogue and digital clocks.

In Literacy, we have been exploring different word classes, including nouns, verbs and adjectives. We have been building our reading skills by summarising key information from texts and have been learning to write explanation texts, using a range of connectives and interesting sentence openers to make our writing clear and engaging.

In Health and Wellbeing, we have been learning about resilience, understanding and managing our emotions, and developing positive friendships through discussion, teamwork and reflection.

As part of our Topic work, we have been investigating life in the woodlands. We have been learning about woodland habitats, the plants and animals that live there, and how living things depend on each other within this environment.
