Well, that’s February nearly out the way! We’ve battled wind, rain, hail, sleet and snow- but we’re still standing!

We all enjoyed sitting our Standardised Tests earlier in the month and can’t wait to find out the results in… June!

We are continuing to work our way through The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and were delighted to receive a tweet from John Boyne, the author, who thanked us for sending him on some drawings based on his book. Bruno has gone exploring and has made a new friend, Schmuel. We can’t wait to find out what happens next! We wrote a ‘Letter Home to Grandma’ last week – as Bruno- and next week, we will be writing a character study of a Concentration Camp Guard. We have also been using charcoal to create atmospheric Holocaust artwork.

We have been working on the final part of The Pope Francis Faith Award and made cards for someone special and drawn pictures of God’s Creation. We are also continuing our preparations for the Sacrament of Confirmation, focusing on The Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Lent began yesterday with a trip to St Cadoc’s Chapel to receive our ashes. We have all made pledges to try to be better people… watch this space!

We have been doing football in PE this term and many of the boys who go to the Youth Club have been taking the class for training sessions. It’s going really well and everyone is enjoying it!
