Well, Christmas seems a distant memory now and we’re back to working at a fair old pace!
We began our Holocaust topic and marked Holocaust Memorial Day today in class. We have also started reading ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’. We have met Bruno, Gretel (The Hopeless Case) and Maria. We are already hooked! To celebrate Mr Burns’ Day, we read some of Rabbie’s poetry to our parents. We then recited/ recorded them in class for the benefit of Mrs Chisolm, our number one Twitter fan!
The Fractions topic was a breeze and we now know that asking for one quarter of a slice of pizza is the same as asking for 80 three hundred and twentieths (although it’s slightly easier for the guy in Domino’s to cut quarters slices!) We are all looking forward to sitting the Standardised Test next month!
We are exploring the dangers of smoking and are busy creating powerpoint posters which will be displayed in the foyer on National No Smoking Day. (11th March 2020) Make sure you have a look for them!
We studied Judaism this month. We now know the story of Moses, the layout of a Synagogue and the main elements of the Jewish faith.
