Science:  Digestive System

This week in schol we were learning about the digestive system.It takes 8 seconds for your food to go down your oesophagus. it takes 8 hours to go through your hole body.Your large intestistin is 16 meters long when stretched out!

Numeracy – a focus on fractions, decimals and percentages

Our class learned about turning decimals into fractions. The circles Were also turning fractions into decimals and percentages.The squares were working on place value.The triangles were working on angles.

 

Literacy

Loch Ness monster-On Tuesday we did a comprehension piece on the Loch Ness monster, the first picture of the Loch Ness was in 1934 . Her nickname is ‘Nessie’ . She has never been found but she has been photographed. The majority of the class think she is REAL!!

 

Sal’s Discovery- this week we completed a writting piece about a girl called sal who found a bottle washed up from the sea were continued to the beach Sal went on a journey and she found treasure.

 

Rewilding – reintroduction vs extinction

Re-wilding is about bringing animals back to theIR old habitat like Wolves, Lynx and Bears . Now Beavers are back in Scotland and also White-tailed sea-eagles and Wild Boars might be coming back . Right now there are arguments in Parliment about bringing these animals BACK !

Wisdom and advice in the Pope Francis Faith Award- This week we have been learning about wisdom and what it means . We have learning this beacause it is in our pope francice faith award.  We have tryied to cover everything which we have almost achived and will soon.
