Primary 5’s Museum of Biodiversity

Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since our last blog post! We are all delighted to be back in school again and waving goodbye to online learning.

There has been lots happening over the last 2 weeks of school. We have been enjoying some lovely weather, which meant we have been able to go outside and take part in some drama, tennis skills and rounders. Everyone has settled back in to school life quickly and have been working very hard.

Last term the children had been learning all about biodiversity and the classification of living things. They were very excited be able to showcase their efforts this week, in the form of their very own museum exhibits. On Wednesday afternoon we opened the doors to the Primary 5 Museum of Biodiversity and welcomed our 2 VIP guests – Mrs McRobb and Mr Weir.

We had 5 exhibits for our guests to explore – Mammals, Reptiles, Fish, Amphibians and Birds. Each exhibit had a mixture of interactive activities for visitors to explore, including quizzes, games, models and informative posters.

Well done Primary 5 – you did a fantastic job!
