Friday 27th November

Hi everyone,

For the last few weeks, the class have been learning about Biodiversity as part of their Science block. We have particularly enjoyed learning about different living creatures, and how they are classified according to their physical features. The children have been showing off their knowledge about various animals by creating their own classification keys and by matching animal photographs and descriptions  to their correct categories.

This week,  the children were very excited to start working on their very own ‘museum’ exhibits’! Each group has been assigned a category of vertebrate to focus their exhibit on – mammals, fish, amphibians, birds or reptiles. As we are sadly unable to invite you all to visit our exhibits this year, we plan to document the process on our blog and on the school twitter to keep you in the loop.

As you know, we will be in December next week. We are looking forward to lots of exciting winter fun over the next few weeks!
