This week was Eco Week at Netherlee Nursery Class.

The children extended their understanding of reducing, reusing and recycling. They took on the responsibility of looking after our nursery environment while being paper monitors.

On Wednesday we encouraged everyone to walk part or the full way to nursery. The children then carried out questionnaires to find out how many children walked to nursery recording the results using tally marks.

The children planted sunflower seeds in newspaper pots. These were sent home for the children to observe and measure over the break. We can’t wait to hear how much they have grown!

The week ended with our Eco Bonnet Parade. The children were invited to make an Easter bonnet at home using recycled materials.
