We had a very exciting visit this week. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service brought a fire engine to the nursery. The children got to use the hose, try on the uniforms and go in the fire engine.

This week the children created an entry into the Greenbank Garden Wheelbarrow Competition. Each building came up with an idea around this years theme: history, heritage and archaeology.

Saplings

In the Saplings building the children decided to design their wheelbarrow around dinosaurs linking it to history. Their design included a volcano and greenery to create a 3D world for our plastic dinosaurs. Before including it in the design the children got to see the volcano erupt.

Acorns

In the Acorns building the children created their idea around archaeology. In the wheelbarrow Lego figures are excavating, uncovering the bones of dinosaurs. The children got to excavate some bones this week in the sand.
