Thank you for all the happy memories :)

Happy Holidays!

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the wonderful work you’ve been uploading onto Seesaw each day – it’s been fantastic!

Hope you have a fantastic time off over the next two weeks, and in case, at some point, you’re missing having activities sent out to you – you can have a look at our P2 ‘Spring Break’ Activity Sheet below 🙂

See you all very soon 🙂

P2 Weekly Timetable (Home Learning)

Hi everyone,

Here’s our Weekly Timetable for all children in Primary 2:

Each morning we’ll add a ‘Plan for Today’ onto both our Class Blogs and Seesaw, giving an overview of the activities the children will be expected to complete that day.

This plan will be the same for all children in P2a, P2b & P2c.

Any individual activities and resources will be assigned to the children in the ‘Activities’ section on Seesaw.

Kind regards,

Mr Edge, Mrs Wallace & Miss Withers.

Dear Primary 2c,

I just wanted to say that it’s been a real pleaure teaching all of you over the last eight months. I’ve loved, every morning, seeing all your smiling faces, listening to all of your stories, and learning and exploring new things with you.

Although we won’t see each other in the classroom for the next wee while, each day I’ll be giving you new activities to do, just like we do in school. And I can’t wait to check Seesaw each day to see all of the fantastic work you’ll be doing!

I hope you enjoy all the exciting things Mrs Wallace, Miss Withers & I are planning for you, and I look forward to seeing you all back at Kirkhill very soon 🙂

Class Novel (P2c)

Hi everyone,

Today I’ve sent each child home a copy of ‘The Legend of Spud Murphy’ by Erin Colfer. In the coming weeks, this will be the focus of our reading activities.

I’ll make a digital copy available in Seesaw, in due course, for any families who weren’t in today and won’t be able to collect a copy from the office tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Gordon

Logging into Seesaw

Good evening,

Could I ask that everyone tries to log onto Seesaw as soon as they can. I’ve included a guide on how to do this below:

If you have any issues please contact the office asap, but before Friday at the latest, so we can be sure that everyone definitely has access.

Thank you,

Mr Edge

Pupil Accounts: Access at Home

Hi everyone,

In school we use lots of different websites as part of our learning. As it may be useful to have access to these at home e.g. as part of our weekly homework, today I’ve sent home a laminated ‘Login Card’ for each child (please ignore the card sent home yesterday):

These have QR code links to each these websites which can be accessed by; opening the camera on a smartphone/tablet, hovering over one of the QR codes, then clicking on the link that appears. These websites can also be accessed through a Google search if that’s easier.

If at some point in the next week you could try logging in to each of these with your child, using their email address/username/password to make sure you can access each, that would be fantastic.

(Our ‘Education City’ accounts are still being set up, so won’t work at the moment, but should be up and running in the next few days.)

Thank you,

Mr Edge 😀

Role Play Shop

Today we had a new addition to our classroom – a role play shop 😀 We’ve even been using it to practise our french! 🇫🇷

P2c Assembly

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the sound issues we had at our assembly this afternoon. The sound system and microphones had been checked this morning before Primary 2a’s assembly, and had been working. I don’t know what happened in the meantime.

I’ve attached below a copy of our assembly script and PowerPoint, showing the different things the children wanted to share with you.

Kind regards,

Gordon Edge
