During Numeracy today we held a House Competition. We all split up into our houses and answered as many Top Mark calculations as we could. We read the questions carefully and shouted out the answers. It was really tricky and we
had to work together to work out the hard calculations.
A huge well done to everyone for trying so hard.
Just a little reminder to return your trip consent forms as soon as possible.
We are all really excited for our trip next week to New Lanark!Â
Welcome back to class everyone. Miss Kidson and Miss Jones are looking forward to another great term in P2a.
This morning in P2a we have enjoyed exploring the new areas in our classroom. – Molly
We are all very excited to try out our new interactive board and we enjoyed using it to practise our spelling sounds. – Miah
We had 6 spelling stations in our classroom this morning and each one was very fun. – Ryley
Today we split up into groups and went out for our final Beat the Street!
We had so much fun! Another huge thank you to our fantastic parent helpers.
We hope everyone has a lovely holiday !
Primary 2a had a fantastic morning out doing Beat the Street! We would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful parent helpers. Only 2 more days to go, keep up the hard work! #BeattheStreet @BTS_BNM
This week we are hoping to incorporate Beat the Street into our Fit in 15!
Please keep your fob or card in your school bag this week so we can collect as many points for our school as we can.
We are still in 1st place! Keep up the hard work.
In class we have been learning about the life cycle of a plant – Hamish
We explored the different stages of a growing plant. We have a picture below to show you it –Â Elise
We planted our own seeds in class. We are going to watch these seeds grow and think about their life cycle. – Rory
We also have 4 other pots of seeds to watch grow in class. We are going to change the conditions of these plants and see which ones grow best. – Emily
We will keep you updated with how well our seeds grow.
We would love you to share pictures of your seeds growing at home in the comment box.
Today in P2a we braved the windy weather and went on a search for living and non-living things. We found lots of things that fit into the category of non-living because they didn’t have all 7 living characteristics. Below you can see some of the non-living things we discovered.
We also found lots of living things!
We also came across some things that used to be living but aren’t anymore.
Thank you for keeping up with our adventures during Science Week. We are excited for tomorrow as we have some special visitors coming in!
