Lockerbie Lockdown

Good afternoon P7,

After a busy few days of virtual transitions at high school, you will be given the opportunity to visit the high school next week for an induction morning in your high school groups. I hope you enjoy the experience and it helps you feel a little at ease for August.

In the mean time, we are excited to announce Kirkhill’s alternative residential at Lockerbie Lockdown for Monday 15th- Friday 19th June.

Please check Seesaw daily for details of this. The weather is a bit temperamental for the weekend and next week so feel free to do these activities at some point next week or even during the summer holidays. Please don’t feel you need to complete them on the day they are assigned as I know parents are working and might be difficult for them to supervise.

I have attached a Lockerbie Lockdown Teaser to get you started over the weekend. So this weekend you can enjoy a weekend of all things Lockerbie with family and friends virtually.

Next week I will publish everything to do with Lockerbie Lockdown to the blog. If you do not want me to do that please just tell me that when you upload to Seesaw. I thought it would be nice for your classmates to see what you’re doing during Lockerbie Lockdown.

Let’s have a great weekend and a fantastic week at Lockerbie next week! I am excited for you all to get involved P7C 🙂

Friday 12th June

Good Morning 🙂

Well done for another great week of home learning! I have enjoyed getting to see the activities you’ve been taking part in over the last few days.

Welcome to Induction Day 3! Just like yesterday, some of the tasks today will require you to work virtually with friends. We are looking forward to seeing your progress on Seesaw.  Please read the activity sheet carefully and follow the instructions for how to access the powerpoints and videos on the MCHS website. All MCHS activities can be found on the P7 transitions section of their website.

We do not expect you to complete every activity today.  Some of these tasks can be completed during your free time or over the summer before you begin high school.

Induction Day 3 – Friday 12th

Have a great day and a lovely weekend!  🙂

Thursday 11th June

Good Morning P7 🙂

Welcome to Induction Day 2. Today you would have been going to the high school to take part in a full day of activities with other pupils across the cluster. Some of the tasks today will require you to work virtually with friends. We are looking forward to seeing your progress on Seesaw.

Some of these activities have been set by the teachers at MCHS and others are set by the P7 teachers. Please read the activity sheet carefully and follow the instructions for how to access the powerpoints and videos on the MCHS website. All MCHS activities can be found on the  P7 transitions section of their website.

We do not expect you to complete every activity today. It may look like a lot but some tasks will only take a few minutes to work on and the day is based on having 7 different classes (just like you would in high school). Some of these tasks can be completed during your free time or over the summer before you begin high school.
