Lockerbie Lockdown Day 1

The day of our P7 residential has finally arrived and instead of hauling your suitcases to the bus and teary goodbyes to your families, we are going to enjoy a week of all things Lockerbie with our families and friends virtually.

This week I will publish everything to do with Lockerbie Lockdown on the Seesaw class blog. If you do not want me to share a particular photo, video or piece of work on the blog then please just let me know when you post it on Seesaw. I thought it would be nice for your classmates to see what you’re doing during Lockerbie Lockdown as they would be watching you take part in activities if we were there.

Please note there are 5 activities assigned altogether each day. These can take place indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. There are 3 activities, a daily challenge plus a team building activity. I have attached both pages here and on Seesaw.

Let’s have the best week P7b!

Have fun! 🙂

Lockerbie Lockdown Day 1

Lockerbie Lockdown is Coming!

Lockerbie Manor Hotel, Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, United ...

After a busy few days of virtual transitions at high school, I am extremely excited to announce Kirkhill’s alternative residential at Lockerbie Lockdown for Monday 15th – Friday 19th June.

Primary 7b pupils should check Seesaw for details.

I have attached a wee Lockerbie Lockdown Teaser to give you a little hint of what’s to come next week.

This weekend, instead of packing your suitcases for our residential trip, you can enjoy a weekend of all things Lockerbie with your family and friends virtually.

This weekend and next week I will publish everything to do with Lockerbie Lockdown on the Seesaw class blog. Transition Lesson - Analysing Similes & Metaphors in 'Firework' by ...

Good morning everyone,

Welcome to your virtual transition day 3!

Today you would have been going to the high school to take part in your second full day induction.

Attached are a range of activities to help you with the transition to high school. During your induction days, you would usually spend time getting to know other pupils across the cluster primary schools and work together in your new classes, so some activities will require you to work virtually with friends. We look forward to seeing your progress on Seesaw.

Some of the activities attached below can be found on the P7 Transitions area of the Mearns Castle Website. You can access this by going to their website, finding the “Pupils” drop down menu and clicking on the top option “P7 Transitions 2020” or by typing the following into your web browser: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/MearnsCastle/p7-transitions-2020/

Enjoy working through your virtual transition day, as always you do not need to do everything, just do what you can. It looks like a lot but some of the activities only take a few minutes. It is based on you having a 6 period day today. You can take your time and work through these activities in your spare time or over the summer holidays, so please don’t feel you need to complete it all today. This will give you something to look forward to when you go for your morning transition day next week.

Here is your daily plan for today.

Have fun! 🙂
