Burns Celebrations

The highlight of this week was our special Burns celebration where we asked our pupil’s grandparents to join us in a Scottish celebration.

Primary 6B sang the song ‘Touch the Sky’ from the movie Brave.

As usual, everybody was blown away by the lovely sound Primary 6 can make. A special well done to our runners, Charlotte and Sam and our MC, Tia.

In keeping with the Scots theme this week, we wrote our own verse to the song Sam the Skull which is based on a mischievous, Glaswegian cat! Some group’s lyrics were very funny and it was interesting to hear about all the adventures Sam gets up to.

Hello 2018

We’ve had a busy few weeks here in Primary 6B and we have lots of exciting things to look forward to this year.

This term we started outdoor learning with Miss Crook, where we will be learning about measure. What a difference a week makes, as you can see from the pictures below!

We have also been learning about the Victorian artist, William Morris, and using his technique of repetition by drawing and tracing.

In Science, we have started a topic on senses. We focused on our sense of touch and tried to guess what different objects were, just by feeling them!
