We also created our class charter.

We learned about the rights of the child. We chose 4 rights that were important in class and came up with promises we would keep to make sure everyone has access to their rights.

“Our class charter reminds us of our rights” – Sam

“We have the right to learn” – Freya

“We have the right to go to school “ – Dawson

“We have the right to play” – Gregor

“You have a right to have fresh air” – Kayden

“We used crafts and we chose whatever we wanted on the kites” – Eilidh

We revised our Primary 1 sounds on Monday and Miss McCabe helped us with the ones that we had forgotten over the summer. We love doing a variety of tasks and really likes hunting for pirate phonics in the sand.

This week our sound has been sh. Next week we will be learning ch.

Our first week!

We were excited to get into our new classroom. Here is a peek for you all…

Some of us were a little nervous… Miss McCabe read us a story called First Day Jitters. We then had some magic Jitter Juice which makes the butterflies fly away. We didn’t feel so scared and nervous after our special Jitter Juice.

We made some little rainbows all about us. We had to listen very carefully, do some writing and sticking! We loved the colours.

We also had some Maths revision stations. We were revising numbers to 20. We were writing, counting, adding etc.

We also had some literacy stations this week where we were revising sounds and CVC words from Primary 1. Our favourite activity was Power Towers!

We have been very creative and heard a lovely story called Mouse Paint all about primary and secondary colours. We were able to mix our own secondary colours and create a colour wheel. Keep reading our blog to see the fantastic wall display we create!

Visit our blog each week to see what we have been learning!
