Happy new year! We have had a great first week back and very busy indeed.
Here is a little snippet of what we have been doing:
New books – The Tempest, The House Across the Quaggy, Alice in Wonderland
We all got new books. We are reading the house across the quaggy which is about 3 kids finding out information about a big old house.
Area of triangles
The whole class learned how to find the area of a right angled triangle. The formula is 1/2 of L x B.
Northern Lights
First we did comprehension on Northern Light and then in the afternoon we did a calendar art on Northern Lights.
Gymnastics
The class did a lot of flexible stretches in Gymnastics and then a lot of people attempted a headstand or a handstand.
Water benefits and posters
We learned about the importance of water and then did a poster on why you should drink water. Some of the benefits are better hair, lips, good hear, joints lubricated and better mood.
STEM Kapla challenge
We did a STEMĀ challenge with our new Science and Spanish teacher Mr. Wilson where we had to make a track for a toy car.
Writing – What I didn’t do in my holiday
We wrote a wonderful recount on a fiction holiday that you would have gone or been on. Everybody had a lot of fun.
