EWHCF Class of 2024

P3A Week of 21st October 2019

Last week, P3A had a very busy week. We started our week completing lots of different active spelling activities.

In maths, we were learning about Tessellation and 3D shapes.

We used Geo boards to create examples of Tessellation.

We also used lego and wooden shapes which we joined together.

We used straws to create some huge 3D shapes!

And we used technology to support our learning further.

In Science, we have been learning about the Human Body. Mrs Agnew showed us an experiment which demonstrates how the digestive system works. It was a little bit disgusting but we loved getting involved.

This week, we were challenged to build a catapult, like the one the Romans would have used. At first we were given no instructions, only the materials, and tried to construct it ourselves. Some of us were very close! Mrs Agnew then showed us how to build it and we enjoyed putting it together and then testing it (safely)!
