Beep Beep Day on Friday 22nd March

The Braidbar Junior Road Safety Officer committee members are organising a ‘Beep Beep Day’ on Friday 22nd March to raise money for Brake the road safety charity. Every day in the UK, five people die on roads and about 60 more are seriously injured. Brake works to stop these tragedies and support people left injured. They also work to end the danger, threat and pollution from traffic.

On Friday 22nd March, children can come to school wearing a stripy top to represent a zebra crossing and bring a 50p donation. The school will be participating in fun activities to engage children with the road safety basics. There will also be traffic light biscuits being sold at tuck on this day.

We are looking forward to raising some money for this worthwhile charity!

Red Nose Day!

Red Nose Day is on Friday 15th March!

The Braidbar Pupil Council members have organised some fundraising activities on this day. We would encourage children to come to school on Friday 15th March wearing an item of red, and/or a Red Nose Day accessory and to bring a chocolate donation. In the afternoon a chocolate tombola will take place and each class will be invited along for their chance to win! Tickets are priced at 20p each.

As well as this, the lovely dinner ladies are making some Red Nose Day jammy biscuits! These will be 40p (cash) and must be pre-ordered and this can be done from Monday 11th March.

We can’t wait to raise some money for this worthwhile charity who help vulnerable people in the UK and internationally!
