We were learning how to infer. When you infer you use what you already know, and evidence from the pictures and words, to make a good guess about what the author is trying to tell you. We read the book I Really Like Slop by Mo Willems. We inferred that Piggie likes slop but Gerald really REALLY does not like slop. We can use inferring in the future to learn from pictures and words as we read.
