During maths week in September  we discussed how maths can be applied outside the classroom. We brought in items from home to show how we could use our maths knowledge in real life.

Alisha – I brought in an egg timer and measuring spoons. We use these at home when cooking .

Beth M – I brought in a recipe for rice crispy cakes. We used the measurements to help us measure out the correct amount of ingredients.

Jessica – I brought in a cereal box which had information about weight on it.

Renaska  – I brought in digital scales which we use at home to measure the weight of ingredients.
