A leaflet has been issued this week outlining summer activities available for all in East Renfrewshire.
Booking opened on 4th June.
The nursery class and Primary 1-6 will visit Kelburn Castle and Country Park on Thursday 20th June. The cost for this trip will be £5.50 per child or £5 if there are 3 or more children in a family. All permission forms and money should be sent into class teachers before this date,
Pupils will leave school promptly at 9.30am returning for 3.00pm
A lketter will further information regarding planned activities, clothing and lunch arrangements will be issued shortly in school.
P1-P7 will take part in Thornliebank Sports Day On Monday 10th June from12.30 until 2.30 at Auldhouse Playing Fields.
Pupils should come to school in outdoor PE kit with a school polo shirt and sweatshirt.
They may also bring a water bottle and a small snack for during the sports.
Parents and family members are most welcome to come along and support the pupils during the potted sport and flat race events.
All pupils will return to school after sports and be dismissed at 3.00pm as normal.
Parents will be informaed by text message if the event has to be cancelled due to inclement weather.

The next meeting of the Equalities Forum will take place on 16 May 2013 at Woodfarm High School at 4.30pm.
Just a reminder that school in closed to pupils on Friday 8th and Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th February for an in-service day and half term holiday. Pupils return on Wednesday 13th February at 8.55am.
A big thank you to all those pupils who wore Tartan and donated £1 for our charity, Children First. We raised £48.35. Well done to all the pupils for learning poems, dances and songs, everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the performances.

Enrollment for Primary Pupils for session 2013/2014 will take place next week 14th January – 18th January from 1.30pm until 3.30pm. If your child will be 5 between 1st March 2013 and end of February 2014 they are eligible for enrollment.
Please note that all the following documentation should be brought along or your child cannot be enrolled.

Just a reminder to make sure we have up to date emergency contact details. A copy of the procedures we will follow and the information we should have from each parent can be found in the tab: Information – Adverse Weather. Follow the link to the Inclement Weather Letter and fill it in if you have not already done so. It is vital in the event of a school closure that we have someone local to contact, who is able to collect your child, if you are unavailable.

Well done everyone who contributed and helped
out last Saturday. We raised £1200. This money
will help us fund extra activities for all the pupils.
Many thanks to all who have already donated children’s books, boxed toys and games, toiletries and fancy goods – please keep sending these items in if you have them.
This week’s donation is boxes of sweets or biscuits – sell by dates after December. We are encouiraging all the pupils to be part of the Christmas Fayre effort abd would urge yoiu to do the same. The money raised will benefit all the pupils in Thornliebank.

This Friday 9th November we are asking for donations of fancy goods and toiletries. Any unwanted or unsuitable small presents such as candles, photo frames, perfumes, toiletry sets or individual toiletries.
All items must be new and/or unopened.
Please come along to have a look at your child’s
work on Wednesday 2nd November from 9.00am until 10.00am and 2.00pm until 3.00pm. Your child will give you a tour of his or her classroom and show you all their latest work.
This Friday’s donation is new or nearly new children’s books. If you have any in good condition at home please send in no more than 3 per child to school. We are encouraging all pupils to take part in our preparations for the Fayre as part of our school community.
The school’s annual Christmas Fayre will take place on Saturday 1st December from 10.00am until 12 noon. An organising committee of parents and teachers are already working hard. If you are able to help please let us know using the letter which was sent home this week. Please look out for information regarding our Friday donations.
Menus showing hot lunch options for the coming term have been sent home this week. Sandwiches and Baguettes(deluxe) are also available every day.
Cashless Catering
Pupils can put money into their accounts using the machine in the dining room before school (from 8.45am) and after school (from 3.00pm).
