COVID-19 Update

Dear Parents

We continue to review our position to minimise the risk of COVID-19 to our school community. We are taking the current situation very seriously and you will appreciate that our overriding  priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of our pupils and staff.

We are focussing on lessons and internal activities such as SQA assessment requirements. We are minimising the number of external visitors to the school for non-essential events and large gatherings which might precipitate the spread of any illness. It is with a heavy heart that due to the current uncertainty surrounding COVID -19 we have made the following decisions to cancel a number of forthcoming events.

My thanks to the pupils and staff for their work and support for these events. Hopefully the passion and joy of our young people experienced in the preparation and rehearsing for these popular events will help overcome the natural disappointment of our pupils and staff .

As the COVID-19 situation is changing rapidly, we will continue to update parents with information on our support for pupils.

Cancelled events:

  • All PE / HWB co-curricular clubs and activities
  • S3 Parents’ Evening                                 (Thursday 19th March)
  • Higher Maths Revision Class              (Saturday 21st March)
  • Afternoon Tea for Life                            (Saturday 21st March)
  • Inter Faith Quiz                                          (Tuesday 24th March)

We will continue to keep you up to date with all school matters via our website, Twitter and Group call email system.

We thank all parents for your understanding of our decisions.

Best wishes

John Docherty
