Go Safe East Ren road safety campaign launches!
Delivered in partnership with Police Scotland, the campaign will build on the significant programme of active travel advice and activity already being delivered across schools.
About the campaign
The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness of a number of key issues such the dangers of wearing headphones whilst near roads, tackling inappropriate and inconsiderate parking and driving near our schools, tackling vehicle idling and the extra precautions needed to make roads/pavements as safe an environment as possible for all travellers in the winter months.
Primarily targeting pupils and parents/carers within East Renfrewshire, the campaign will build on the significant programme of ERC roads active travel advice and activity that is already delivered including ‘park and stride’, ‘walk to school’ and the active role played by Junior Road safety officers.
