Sports Day

Thanks to everyone who made this years Sports Day a great success. The weather was kind to us and the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in all the races. It was new to Primary 1 but they rose to the occasion and participated with enthusiasm. From Primary 2-7 all races went like clock work and the children were competitive but showed good sportsmanship!

What A Great Day!

Matthew Carney Football Tournament

A great day was had by all at the recent Matthew Carney Football Tournament. Fourteen schools took part making this our busiest event to date. Although competative, the children thoroughly enjoyed the day and there was a great atmosphere. A big thanks to all the coaches and dads who made this a super day.  A special thanks to Mr Paul MacConnell for organising the event. Congratulations also to Ciaran McAndrew, P7, for being awarded the Matthew Carney Trophy for Sportmanship. Well done Ciaran!

our stalls would be very healthy indeed!

Money Week 3rd – 7th June

Curriculum for Excellence recognises the importance of building financial capability in all young people. At Our Lady of the Missions, children experience financial education in a range of contexts throughout the school year.

This year, along with schools across the country, we will be participating in ‘Money Week’. During this week each class will participate in activities related to money and financial planning to enhance their understanding and show them how the skills they are learning in school are applied in the wider world.

If you have any ideas or expertise related to this area (perhaps you run your own business and could share your experience with a class) then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Further information relating to Financial Education and Money Week can be found on the following websites:
