It has been a while since the last PSA update so I just wanted to let you know about all the recent happenings and some exciting events coming up.
The Christmas Fayre was once again a great success. Many thanks to all the volunteers on the day, it couldn’t happen without you. We managed to raise the magnificent sum of £5,010
This enabled the PSA to fund the P1 Christmas parties, a festive ice cream for every child in the school and also the always enjoyable P7 Christmas disco. We also purchased 3 new screen projectors for the school. Moving into this year, we will be subsidising the Edinburgh Science Festival and school bus trips. We will also help fund First Communion celebrations and provide a Bible/Koran to every P7 child as well as funding the P7 leavers’ dance.
Dates For Your Diary
This year we have several new P1 members and they have organised a P1 mums’ get-together in the school on Friday 28th February, 7.30pm – 9.30pm. It is a BYOB event and for further details please contact either Wendy Macleod 07775 771330 or Karen McCann 07971 583908. The PSA is delighted to support this event.
With all things Scottish this year we have also organised a Family Ceilidh in Carmichael Hall, Eastwood Park, on Friday 21st March, 7pm – 9.30pm. This will also be a BYOB event and further details will be issued shortly along with an application for tickets.
Finally, our annual Summer Fete will take place on Saturday 7th June, 1pm – 3.30pm.
These events are not just fundraisers but allow the school community to come together and foster strong relationships across all year groups.
So thanks again to all our current members and volunteers. The PSA would always like some more, however, so please do not hesitate to contact me. I would also encourage you to attend our monthly meetings which are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm in the staff room.
