In Science, we have enjoyed learning about the importance of safety in the Science lab.  We were able to identify the various hazards in an unsafe lab.

We had a great time using different methods of measurement to investigate dimension, temperature, mass, volume and time.

We used measuring cylinders to measure out specific volumes of dried peas.  It is important to come down to eye level when taking the measurement.

By using metre sticks and rulers, we measured the length of the side of a desk, length of a jotter, our hand span and our height.

We used thermometers to measure the temperature of room water, tap water and ice water.

We had fun timing each other to say the alphabet, tie our shoe laces and tie our school tie.  We estimated in minutes and seconds how long we thought it would take us, before using a digital stop clock to time the actions.

We recorded our results in tables.
