Weather Update

Message from ERC

School opening arrangements tomorrow. We will continue to closely monitor the weather overnight. Any decisions regarding the potential impact on schools will be taken first thing tomorrow and we will provide updates on the council’s social media channels and our website.

Autism Friendly Opticians

Did you know that Specsavers, Trongate have been working with the national Autistic Society to become Scotland’s first autism-friendly optician.

Staff in store received the Autism Friendly Award by learning about the condition and making small adjustments to the way they work.

The introduction of quiet zones on a Tuesday and Friday where there will be no music or television played from 09:30am until 11.00am – and staff attendance at an autism awareness talk from the National Autistic Society – has led to the prestigious accolade being awarded to the store.
