Outdoor Learning

All nursery children have the opportunity to take part in Woodland Adventures. We visit on a Tuesday and Thursday morning and invite parents to join us.
The dates for each rooms turn will be posted on Seesaw

Children have access to outdoor play everyday, no matter what the weather. Outdoors we have water play a sandpit as well as a cycle track, block play amongst other things.

Can you please remember to bring your child’s wellington boots and waterproof clothing everyday, or if you wish you can leave them in nursery. If you have not yet managed to pick up waterproof clothing please put a few changes of clothing in their nursery bag for when they get wet.

The nursery garden is an extension of our playrooms where children can continue their learning. We have built kitchen areas, the children collect leaves etc to mash, tear and cut and serve as cakes/pizza in halves, quarters, slices extending their mathematical learning. We also use large loose parts encouraging cooperative play, planning, decision making, problem solving, design and engineering, creating and developing language skills, story telling.

the children have space to run around, climb, tackle obstacles, chase and develop gross motor skills, use bicycles, scooters & dolls prams perfect the core strength and balance skills.
