Welcome to Hillview Primary School

Our vision for the school is  ‘Working together to achieve our goals’ underpinned by our core values of: Kindness, Honesty, and Fairness.

We aim for all children to Be Determined, Be Respectful and Be Safe.

Dear Parents/Carers,

This website will hopefully help you to understand more about our school and how we organise our pupils’ learning in order to provide the very best education for all of our pupils. We have a positive, inclusive school ethos and our pupils feel well supported in school.

We cater for all aptitudes and abilities by delivering a broad based curriculum. We fully support pupils with additional needs, offering individual support if required. We encourage all children towards independent learning, equipping them with the necessary skills for learning and life.

Our school encourages a broad range of achievements for all pupils. The curriculum has four purposes – to enable all pupils to become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens.

We hope that your child will be very happy with us and will respond to the many opportunities for learning which we offer through the wide range of activities and experiences in the primary school.

A strong partnership with parents and carers is central to supporting pupil’s progress and we would wish you to be actively involved in our school.

Please be assured that no worry about your child is too small to share with us, please do not hesitate to contact our school at anytime and we will do all that we can to help.

Our school handbook is available (click here) to help you to learn more about our school.

Yours sincerely,

Melanie McGurren

Head Teacher
