Learning in the Nursery

In the Nursery children develop core skills through active play. Our approach is to plan learning experiences which are responsive to children’s development and interests (In the moment planning).  To facilitate this approach, our open plan setting provides a range of stimulating experiences and resources which allow children to learn independently, collaboratively and with adult support. Children’s learning is displayed in each playroom.  These learning walls clearly demonstrate the range of experiences staff and children have planned together. Parents are encouraged to look at the walls and contribute their ideas, pictures and comments as this links  learning in the nursery with the child’s experiences at home and in the community.
