The course consists of three Units:
Physical Environments
In this unit you will learn about the glaciated and coastal landscapes of the UK, along with an understanding of our weather patterns.
Human Environments
In this unit you will learn about the issues facing cities and rural areas in the developed and developing world, along with reasons for population change around the globe.
Global Issues
There are 6 options here—we will have a vote on the two most popular to study. We’ll choose from:
Environmental Hazards Tourism
Trade and Globalisation Climate Change
Development & Health Natural Environments
National 5—the Assignment
At National 5 level you will use the fieldwork we have completed over the two years to write a short report, showing off your research, presentation and analysis skills.
You can choose which topic to write about.
National 4—Added Value
At National 4 we will keep a folio of all your fieldwork and research tasks. This will provide evidence for the Added Value Unit.
