Defib week!

Hello Everybody.  In 6.24 we have had lots visitors, and had lots of fun learning how to do CPR. Our first visitor was St. Andrews ambulance service, teaching us how to do CPR with the Anne dolls. We were also taught how to do the recovery position.

For our second visitor we had  the Red Cross come in to tell us about first aiding. We learnt about what would happen in the case of a seizure, and ways to treat a burn.

We also had another lovely visitor Fiona Hogarth to talk about the heart. She showed us what they would do to fix peoples hearts if they have problems with them.

Our last visitor was Miss McColl’s brother Lewis, who works in the First responders ambulance service. He showed us a video about what to do if your ordinary day turns into an extraordinary one. He also showed what a modern defibulator looks like. We all got a close look at it by passing it round the desks. It was very exciting. This was one of our favorite visitors this week.

We all really enjoyed learning about defib week. We hope to have all these visitors come again.
