We will be attending the Newton Mearns Baptist Church tomorrow to take part in their annual ADVENTure.
We will be leaving school at approximately 9.15am to arrive there for 9.50am. Please ensure that the children are dressed appropriately as the weather is forecast to be inclement.
P623 are hosting an Advent assembly this week and we are very excited about welcoming our family and friends.
Children have been sent home with their lines for the assembly and I would very much appreciate if you could practise with them at home.
This week we have been learning about Rites of Passage in various world religions with Mrs Fraser-Smail. In pairs, we have selected one of 13 ceremonies for children around the world and used the iPads to research this.

Today we took part in P6 Diversity Day with East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure. We learned about many different faiths and cultures from Judaism and Islam, and had an opportunity to try on some traditional outfits and get hands on with religious artifacts.
We were also given a mug to decorate to remember Diversity Day which should be baked in a non-preheated oven at 160oC for 90 minutes.
