You can get up to Β£500 every 3 months (up to Β£2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. This goes up to Β£1,000 every 3 months if a child is disabled (up to Β£4,000 a year)

Take a Break is Scotlandβs short breaks Scheme to support the carers of disabled children, young people and their families.It aims to provide families with the choice and opportunity to access a single or ongoing break from caring.
Take a Break grants enable families caring for a disabled or seriously ill child or young person to have the opportunity to choose how they would like to take a break, with a view to improving the quality of life, health and well-being of the whole family.
