Early Years Career Opportunities

An Early Years Careers Event is being held to promote the benefits of working in early years and the current opportunities and employment support available.

If you think you may be interested in a rewarding career in early learning and childcare and are enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference to children and families’ lives, then come along to our careers event to learn more.

You can attend our drop-in session at Kirkintilloch Learning Campus, 50 Southbank Road, G66 1NH, on Thursday 8^th February from 5pm until 7pm or alternatively, join us online on Tuesday 13^th February from 6pm until 7pm. Please email us on ELC1140@eastdunbarton.gov.uk to receive a link to join the online event.

You will find out about all our current and upcoming vacancies and how to apply for positions including modern apprentices, support workers and early years practitioners including supply posts. Learn about our Parental Employability Programme and supports available to help you back into employment.

East Dunbartonshire foodbank centres provide food for people who come with a referral from an agency.
The Food Bank has centres in Kirkintilloch, Bishopbriggs and Milngavie, but distribution can be arranged throughout East Dunbartonshire where required. For further help phone 07425 134131 or visit East Dunbartonshire Foodbank | Helping Local People in Crisis

Everyone who comes to the foodbank for emergency food should have a valid foodbank referral or voucher.

Opening hours and locations:

Kirkintilloch Baptist Church, 52 Townhead, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow, G66 1NL – Opening Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2pm to 4pm.
St Joseph’s Church, Milngavie, Buchanan Street, Milngavie, G62 8DZ – Opening Hours: Friday 2pm to 3.30pm and Sunday 12.45pm to 1.30pm.
Colston Wellpark Church, Colston Wellpark Church, 1378 Springburn Road, Glasgow, G21 1UX – Opening Hours: Monday and Friday 2pm to 4pm.
Lennoxtown Free Church, Main Street, Lennoxtown, G66 7DD – Opening Hours: Friday 11am to 1pm.

Foodbank Donations Welcome

We will be taking in donations for Drumchapel Foodbank. Our drop off cage will be situated outside in our playground throughout the day. Any donations would be gratefully collected and happily taken on your behalf.

Foodbank items include;

Tins: Soup, Baked beans, Spaghetti hoops, tomatoes etc.

Dried foods: Sugar, Pasta, lentils, noodles, rice, cereal etc

Drinks: Tea, Coffee, UHT Milk, Fruit Juice etc.

Toiletries: Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Deodorant, Sanitary products, Shower Gel, Toilet Roll, Soap Powder, etc.

Baby items: Nappies (any size), Wet wipes, Formula Milk, Dummies, Bottles etc
