The Visual Impairment (VI) Team is managed by Louise Bain, and is part of the wider East Ayrshire Support Team (EAST).
The VI Team have three qualified VI teachers – Jacqueline Hume, Mhairi Iles and Carol Rome.
The V.I. Team:
· Carry out Functional Visual Assessments of pupils who have been referred to them
· Provide advice and useful strategies to school staff
· Liaise with eye clinic and school staff
· Monitor pupils’ vision on an annual basis if required.
