On Friday we bid farewell to our longstanding Faculty Head Mr. McGurn as he leaves us to take up his new role as Depute Head Teacher at the new Robert Burns Academy.
We thank him for all of his hard work, support and commitment throughout the years and wish him all the success and happiness in the world.
The first installment for the September London Trip is now due and should be paid via Parent Pay. Please see below for a reminder of the payment plan.
3rd February – £75 (deposit) 2nd March – £75 6th April – £75 4th May – £75 1st June – £80
I can now also confirm that we have secured a lesson at the Warner Bros. Harry Potter studio tour! We have selected “Script to Screen” where pupils will get the chance to “look at the journey of a film production from the script to what is seen on the big screen. They will study the processes used, focusing on artwork, plans, white card models, storyboards and the finished sets used in the Harry Potter film series.”
The RA Young Artists’ Summer Show is calling for entries! Whatever your medium, be it painting, printmaking, pastel, pencil, sculpture, photography, textiles, collage etc. lets get making art!
Your work could be featured on the Royal Academy website and even in the exhibition. Interested in submitting? Speak to Miss Beattie and feel free to come to Art Club to get working on your entries!
*The exhibition is open to young people aged between 5-19 with 3 entries allowed per person. The submission deadline is 24th April 2020 with judging commencing in May.
