Pathways to Careers Event

The Pathway to Careers event which is delivered in partnership with DYW Ayrshire, will take place on Thursday 21st March at the Park Hotel, Kilmarnock from 4pm to 8pm.

Over 50 employers  from across Ayrshire and the event will give learners (S3 to S6), parents/carers, and educators, a fantastic opportunity to find out about future employment pathways, apprenticeships and accredited training programmes which tie in with future career aspirations. They are also looking to give exclusive access to young people with additional support needs.

Upcoming career events

Following the success of events at the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock and Cumnock Town Hall in 2023, East Ayrshire’s Future Skills team are running these events again in February 2024 to align with National Apprenticeship week. Pupils (S4 to S6) are welcome to attend at either event which take place as follows:

Tuesday 20th February 2024, 10am-3pm  – Cumnock Town Hall

Thursday 22nd February 2024, 10am-3pm  – St Joseph’s Chapel Hall (across from Ayrshire College, Kilmarnock Campus)

The events will showcase council services and promote Modern Apprenticeships, Graduate Internships and job opportunities EAC will have for 2024.

They will be interactive allowing attendees to see what type of work/opportunities are involved within each service. It is hoped the events will give young people an insight into the range of career pathways available within East Ayrshire Council.
