The Robert Burns Academy Supported Learning Centre

The SLC follows a similar timetable to the mainstream school, with 32 periods every week and a short period of Personal Learning Planning at the start of each day.

There is a 15 minute interval between periods 2 and 3 and a 40 minute lunch break between periods 5 and 6.  During these times, pupils have access to the school dining hall where they can purchase hot food, snacks and drinks. 

Pupils are encouraged to spend intervals and lunch breaks in the SLC playground, or at our Wellbeing Club, where they can take part in a range of activities such as arts and crafts, board games, lego challenges, films or quiet reading.  The SLC playground and Wellbeing Club are always supervised by staff and senior pupils.
