This week we have continued to work on our subtraction skills in maths. We looked at how to find a missing number by using cubes and number lines to help us.
We also continued to learn about 2D shapes. We looked in more detail at the properties of 2D shapes and identified sides and corners. We also used 2D shapes to create some lovely art.
We practised our phonics and spelling with different activities this week. P2s practised writing a description as part of our The Snail and the Whale book study and we have started working on a lapbook for our book study.
In our play activities we continued to develop our fine motor skills. We also explored free writing by creating a Snail and the Whale book, working with CVC words on a big sheet of paper and by finishing our information booklets. We practised our maths skills throughout the week with different games and followed instruction when working with construction materials.
It has been such a busy week, we are definitely ready for the weekend and a shorter week next week!
