P2 Home Practice

Home Learning week beginning 27th April

This week we are focusing on the <sh> sound for Primary 1s and the <ay> sound for Primary 2s. Please choose an activity from your sheet to practise your spelling words at home. It may also help you to highlight your sound in your word list.

In maths, we are looking at Telling Time this week. Primary 1s will read o’clock times from analogue and digital clocks, while Primary 2s will also look at half past times.

Please play the time board game at home to practise telling the time.

As always, please return your homework packs next Monday.

Home Practice 17/3/26

I have issued new Homework folders to all P1 and P2 pupils. Please make sure to return these folders with all of their contents on a Monday morning.

In Maths, we are practising subtraction within 10 (P1) and within 20 (P2). Please play the board game with your child, encouraging them to explain how they found the answer to the calculation. If an answer is wrong, the player has to move back 2 spaces.

I have made up new word list jotters for all pupils. Please practise reading and writing the words on the list. We will be doing a spell on a Monday.

I have included a sheet with 50 sensory activities that you could use with your child to practise the words at home. Please do not use the word list jotter for any of these activities.

We are continuing to practise our common exception words from last week as I find that some of us are still struggling to read and write these.
