Match Funding – we need you!

Did you know that your employer could contribute to our school fundraising?

If you or your employee are able to help, please complete the form below – thank you!

Match funding is an informal corporate arrangement between a company and their employee. Not all companies offer matched funding but those that do could pledge a sum of money in relation to an amount raised by the school.

We understand that the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.

We would be grateful if you could see if your employer has a match funding scheme, or if they are willing to match fund any of our events. If you can’t help out this time, but you know the company you work for has a match funding policy, please let us know. This could be a really large source of income to help us raise money for our school funds.

‘respectme’ Respectful Relationships/Anti-Bullying Awareness

Dear Families,

We hope you have all had a wonderful October break and are looking forward to warm welcomes tomorrow!

East Ayrshire is currently embarking on a pilot project to help address bullying among children and young people. By working with ‘respectme’, Scotland’s anti-bullying service, the aim of the project is to provide a range of supports to parents, carers, staff and young people to improve their knowledge and confidence in promoting respectful relationships and address bullying behaviour and its impact.

Onthank Primary are working in collaboration with ‘respectme’, seeing staff and members of the Parent Council attending training and forming our Respectful Relationships Team. Over the course of this academic year we will be creating anti-bullying parent workshops, working directly with a pupil focus group to create pupil workshops and sharing the ethos of ‘respectme’ with our school community.

If you would like to be involved in any aspect of our ‘respectme’ journey please speak with Mr Swan by Friday 25th October.

We invite you to complete the project pre-questionnaire which will support the initial stages of our journey. Thank you.

Our school community will be updated throughout the year as the project develops. #respectme #ouronthank

We will deliver lots more after the holiday. If you would like to nominate someone to receive a Harvest bag please contact the school after our holiday.

Mrs Easter, Mrs Saxelby and Mr Swan delivered boxes to the local Foodbank. Miss Cook and Mrs Mills and pupils delivered bags of cupcakes to Crossgates Care Home and these were very well received by the residents.  ??
