Thursday check in

Hi P2,

Hope you are all well today. Here’s my shadow picture I made yesterday at the Hub. We’re looking forward to seeing all of yours too, so don’t forget to take photos of your message and email them to Mr McIllwraith. You could also have a go at uploading them on to your Glow blog page too.

I hope lots of you have managed to do some of the tasks we’ve set you this week and if you need help please remember that you can email us.

Stay safe and happy,

Mrs Strain and Team P2 x

Create your own video diary

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/1-second-everyday-video-diary/id587823548

Hi,

I hope you are all happy and well today and can get outside to enjoy this lovely sunny day.

I wanted to share a fantastic app that I have been using this year to record a fun video diary. If you get an adult to help and download the free app you simply record a 1 second video clip everyday. The app is easy to use (I can do it!) and once you have recorded your short clip the app does everything else for you!

You can get creative, have fun and try to record something that is meaningful to you everyday to make your own video diary with your family.

Please let us know how you are getting on.

Good luck and stay safe x

Mrs Strain

Welcome back 20.04.20

Good morning boys and girls. We hope you managed to make the most of our ‘unusual’ Easter holiday. We have been so lucky with the lovely weather and I’m sure you have been out having your daily exercise in the beautiful sunshine.

It’s back to school today so your teachers will be available on Glow if you have any questions or if you want to share any of your holiday stories with us.

We are taking it easy today and would like you to leave an emoji to let us know how you are feeling. If you could log in to BugClub and read a book in there and play a maths game today that would be great. You could also draw a picture/write a sentence (or more) about what you have been getting up to and post it on to your own blog for your teachers to see.

Miss Cook 🙂

Easter Holiday

Hi,

Happy Friday everyone!

Today is the start of the Easter Holidays which feels a bit odd as we aren’t at school!

However, it’s still your holiday and hopefully the Spring weather will be kind to us and you can get out in the garden or go for a nice walk or bike ride once a day. You’ve all been working hard at home and getting used to all of the changes that have happened recently so now it’s time to have a wee chill out and ditch the schoolwork for a few weeks.

After the holidays Team P2 will have lots of new and fun things to do, both online and out with your family, and some help with Glow blogs or other ways that help us all stay in touch.

Have a lovely Easter holiday, enjoy any Easter eggs you get and stay well!

Love,

Mrs Strain

Check in 01.04.2020

Good afternoon,

All of the Primary 2 teachers and Miss Cook are missing you very much. We think about you all the time and are wondering how you are all getting on. We would like to try a new way of working. Each day a good morning message will be posted on this page. We would like you to reply with an emoji to let us know how you are feeling. This will let all of the teachers know how you are 🙂

We are also going to put up some activities each day for you to complete (please remember these are only suggestions) We hope you are all well and we really can’t wait until you are all back at school. We miss your smiling faces 🙂

Physical Education with Joe Wicks

Hi Kids,

I’ve heard about a daily P.E. session by a famous personal trainer called Joe Wicks. It will live stream on YouTube at 9am every Monday to Friday and will give you 30minutes of P.E. to help keep you all fit and healthy while you’re stuck at home.

Get your gym kit on, clear a wee space and check this out:
