Storytelling Event – Halloween 2025

The whole school will be visiting the Galleon in Kilmarnock on Wednesday 17th December to see the 10.00 a.m. performance of “Sleeping Beauty”. Due to the continued support of Ochiltree Parent Council, who is subsidising the cost of the buses, the amount per child to pay is £14.00. Payment can be made through ParentPay and should be paid by Friday 12 December.
The school would like to thank the Parent Council for their continued support.

The Parent Council have organised Minuteman Press to produce Christmas Cards and Items for this festive season, and the pupils have been working hard on their designs. Please look out for the designs, covering letter and order form coming home in school bags today.

For the Super Tattie’s birthday celebrations we had a big birthday cake shown off here by our oldest and youngest pupils Flynn and Mia . It was delicious!!
Our School Captains donating to Netherthird Food Bank.
Our School Captains – MacMillan Coffee Morning donation passed to Ochiltree Community Hub to combine monies raised.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the school this morning and helped us raise funds for MacMillan. The school raised £336.99!! We took our collection and added it to Ochiltree Community Hub’s collection – now totalling £1336.99 raised for MacMillan.
This is a fantastic amount raised by everyone working together.
We are gearing up for our Autumn Amble sponsored walk on Wednesday 1st October.
Please make sure your child has warm and waterproof footwear and clothing suitable for the autumn weather conditions on the day.
Our pupils will be on their walk around the village as follows:

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Conservatoire, The King’s Foundation at Dumfries House and East Ayrshire Council are offering children who are currently in P5, P6 or P7 (as of August 2025) and who receive string tuition within the classroom in the Cumnock, Doon and Auchinleck areas the opportunity to further their instrumental progression FOR FREE supported through funding from The King’s Foundation.
Through the RCS Music Centre programme, students will receive:
Classes are held on Wednesday evenings during term time led by a team of music specialists from the RCS. The programme is designed to give young learners a high quality, cohesive music education, delivered in a fun and inspiring environment.
They invite all prospective new students to attend the

P7 Assisting at Hub MacMillan Coffee Morning – Consent Forms
Our P7 pupils will be helping out at the Ochiltree Community Hub MacMillan Coffee Morning tomorrow morning between 10am and 12pm.
Consent forms have been issued to P7 pupils today, please look out for these in school bags this afternoon.
Apologies for the short timescales for their return, but these will need to be back to school first thing tomorrow morning to allow the pupils to attend.
