We have been able to obtain pallets from Higher Grade Homes which we aim to turn into bug hotels in the Nature Park behind our school.
Stay tuned for the Bug Khalifa, Buggingham Palace and the Premier Inn(sect).
Additionally we have been given a planter box from the property developer which will be used to increase the variety of flowers available in the playground. This will hopefully improve the variety of wildlife in our natural environment.
More to follow…
We have started to build our bug hotels, have a look at the progress.
Community Litter Pick
We spent the day collecting litter from our playground, the nature park and surrounding community. Have a look at our hard work.
Litter Poster Competition
Well done to Sophie in P7 who won Newmilns Primary’s entry to the Irvine Valley Litter campaign. Her poster will be blown up, alongside the other winners from other schools, and displayed on the billboard in the field from Tesco, Galston!
Here are some of the super entries that we had to choose from.
